Come Play with Me!
A Summer Solstice Invitation to Your Intuition
I caught myself the other day getting serious about planning my Summer Solstice ritual. You know, lists, materials, timings, the whole ceremonial spreadsheet in my brain.
But something felt off.
Summer, to me, has never been about perfection or solemnity. It’s about energetic play. Roaming around outside, bare feet in the grass, laughter and silliness, catching lightning bugs while avoiding mosquitos. It’s radiant and joyful.
So why was I making it so serious?
Then I heard her.
That quiet, clear voice of my intuition. But this time, she didn’t whisper in riddles or offer deep revelations. She giggled.
"Come this way!" she said. “Come play with me!”
Intuition is wise. Of course.
But sometimes that wisdom doesn’t come cloaked in mystery. Sometimes it wears a every color of the rainbow and cartwheels through the park.
The truth is:
🧡 Intuition thrives in lightness.
💫 It flows most easily when we stop trying to force it.
🎠 And play is one of the fastest ways to get into that flow.
When we play, we shift out of our striving selves.
We soften.
We forget to perform.
We stop clenching our fists around how it’s supposed to go.
And that’s when she shows up, the Inner Guide, the Wise Child, the part of you who sees clearly and moves with ease.
The part who delights.
And delight, my friends, is not frivolous.
Delight is a portal.
It brings us directly into the present moment. And presence is the path to everything we desire.
So this Summer Solstice, I offer you this gentle challenge:
Don’t just honor the light, play in it.
Blow bubbles at the sky.
Skip a rock across a pond.
Make flower crowns.
Laugh with someone who makes your spirit feel sunny.
Or lie in the grass and do absolutely nothing except receive.
You don’t have to earn your intuition.
You just have to be present enough to notice her.
And sometimes, she sounds a lot like a child whispering,
“This way! Come play!”
Happy Solstice, magical seeker. ☀️✨
Now go delight in something.
